Abstract

855,629. Colour photography. GENERAL ANILINE & FILM CORPORATION. Jan. 9, 1958 [Jan. 10, 1957], No. 925/58. Class 98(2) Prints and transparencies containing a cyan quinoneimine dye image, which have been colour developed, bleached and fixed, are rinsed during or after the final washing operation with an aqueous solution containing a water soluble salt of calcium, magnesium, zinc or cadmium to avoid or minimise fading or degradation of such cyan image. The rinsing solutions are specified in six examples, and some contain a phenol ethylene oxide reaction product together with formalin, or formalin alone, along with one of the specified salts.
