Abstract

854,175. Shuttering for casting walls and floors ; buildings. HEIDENSTAM, E. J. VON March 11, 1957 [March 10, 1956], No. 7974/57 Classes 20(1) and 20(2) A building is constructed by first casting floor slabs 7a-e, Fig. 6, on a base 1, mounting wall moulds 30 onthe edges of two or more of the slabs and hoisting the floor slabs to their final position while casting the walls. The floors are raised by jacks 24 climbing on rods 23 secured to cross pieces 22 on temporary pillars 8 in holes in the slabs, the jacks raising plates 29 adapted to engage nuts 28 on rods 27 secured to the slabs. The slab 7a is first lifted and when the nut 28 of the slab 7b engages the plate 29 slabs 7a and 7b are joined by straps 39, Fig. 9, thereafter plate 29 simultaneously engages the nuts of slabs 7c-e and all the slabs are lifted together. The moulds 30 before casting commences are provisionally supported with wall reinforcement 33 on boards 32 which when casting commences are removed and the moulds lowered and connected to the slabs 7a, 7b. As each slab reaches its final position during the hoisting it is temporarily supported by bisected collars 43, Fig. 10a, engaged in annular gaps between the sections 41 of the pillar 8. Concrete 44, Fig. 10, is finally cast over each slab and in gaps 45 formed in the walls 6. The casting of the walls is completed with the slabs 7a, 7b still connected together, then they are disconnected and the slab 7b is lowered to its final position. The wall moulds may have hooks 65, Fig. 25, engaging holes in the slabs 7a, 7b and they may be adjustable in a horizontal direction and the moulding face sheet may have a corrugated backing sheet. In Fig. 5 the edges of two sets of slabs 7 are moulded by a U section mould 9 raised step by step on supports 10 placed upon each other and secured by collars 13 and pins. The slabs may be corrugated, have slanting edges or be convex in which case a curved strickle carried by a swivel on a wheel carriage is used to shape the upper surface. The moulds for shaping the edges of the slabs may be used to mould the walls.
