[Also in Group XXIX] An air or gas filled polythene tube 1, Fig. 1, which is located in a water pipe 5, has its movement limited by a spring 6 that includes helical and V-shaped parts 7 and 8, respectively, the spring frictionally engaging the pipe 5. In a modification, the tube 1, Fig. 3, carries a coil 10 so that the device may be used near a valve or restriction without blocking it (see also Group XXIX).
