853,689. Feeding webs. OSTERHOF, H. J., and OSTERHOF, K., [trading as MASCHINENBAU, W. M. OSTERHOF]. April 15, 1957 [Jan. 17, 1957], No. 12318/57. Class 100(1) A strip feeding mechanism comprises a pronged member 2 having pins 1 for engaging holes in the strip 5, not shown, the pronged member 2 being provided at one end of a swing arm 5 which is oscillated about a pivot pin 6 to feed the strip, the pivot pin 6 being adjustable parallel to the plane of the strip to adjust the stroke of the pronged member. The arm 5 is oscillated by an arm 10 engaging a groove 11 in arm oscillated in the direction of the arrows Z by a cam 12 engaging a pin on the arm. The pin 6 carries pinions, not shown, engaging racks 9. Adjustment of the pinions along the racks 9 varies the stroke of member 2.
