852,903. Photographic diazotype or ferroprussiate material and process therewith. SUMRIE Ltd., C. & M., HOLMAN, C., NIG MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and JACOBS, R.S. Jan. 22, 1957 [Feb. 2, 1956], No. 3264/56. Class 98(2) Paper, cloth or the like is provided with a heat-sealing compound on one side and a diazo sensitizer on the other, and may be imagewise exposed and developed by liquid solution or gaseous ammonia to produce a design, and then heat-sealed on to wood, metal, cardboard, carpet, and particularly onto the top one of a number of layers of fabric for cutting by hand or machine according to the design. Wrapping, kraft or sulphite paper having a rough side may be coated thereon with polyvinylacetate plasticised with dibutyl phthalate and sensitized on the smooth side. Processing may be effected in the ammonia machine of Specification 842,691. Sensitization may, alternatively, be made with ferro-prussiate solution for water development.
