Abstract

852,745. Amplitude modulation systems. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Aug. 27, 1958 [Aug. 27, 1957], No. 26992/57. Class 40(5). Diodes rectifiers 8, 9 connected in series opposition are shunted across both the input and output .transformers 1, 2 of a carrier modulator, and modulation in series with a bias voltage applied between the junction of the rectifiers and a centre tap 10 of the first transformer secondary so that the rectifiers are conductive for both positive and negative excursions of the modulating voltage. A Zener diode 15 and resistors 16, 13 may stabilize the effective bias.
