Abstract

852,199. Brushes ; handle fixings. HAMILTON & CO. (LONDON) Ltd. March 25, 1959 [Nov. 18, 1958], No. 37073/58. Classes 19 and 61. Recesses, bores or grooves 4 are formed in the sides and lower end of a handle 1 so that when it is inserted into a matrix 6 bonding together the roots 7 of the bristles 8 of the brush the recesses, bores or grooves become filled with the matrix. Preferably the handle 1 is inserted into a ferrule 9 filled with matrix 6 in which the roots of the bristles are already secured.
