849,671. Disc brakes. AMERICAN STEEL FOUNDRIES. Jan. 21, 1957, No. 2126/57. Class 103 (1). In a vehicle disc brake, brake levers 18, fulcrumed to a fixed part of the vehicle by means of pivot pins 20, have attached thereto brake friction pads 24 at one end and are provided at the other end with rollers 48 such that when brake linkage lever 52 is actuated a conical wedge portion 44 is moved by lever 40 between the rollers 48 to urge the friction pads 24 into frictional contact with the sides of the brake disc. The brake levers 18 are released by means of the action of torsional springs 30. Specification 585,079 is referred to.
