849,483. Deciphering apparatus. COCACOLA G.m.b.H. May 13, 1957 [May 12, 1956], No. 21740/59. Divided out of 849,482. Class 146(2). A decoding device for use in deciphering markings on a sheet metal closure, comprises a plate formed with a plurality of holes and provided with identifying characters adjacent to the holes whereby the device can be placed over the closure and the markings on the closure, e.g. a crown cork stamped by machine described in Specification 849,482, will appear through said holes thus enabling the markings to be deciphered. The plate has a flange to fit around the closure.
