Abstract

849,076. Stoppers. EKCO PRODUCTS CO. Feb. 2, 1959, No. 3655/59. Class 125(3). A disc closure 11 for receptacle 10 has a pull-tab 12 for easy withdrawal of the closure comprising a strip passing from the top side of the disc around the edge to be adhesively sealed to the underside of the disc as at 12a. The tab is also adhesively sealed to the top side of the disc only at the indentations 17 so that the tab may easily be pulled clear of the top of the discs, the tab extending further than half way across the closure. The inside of the disc may be lined with a metallic foil 11a and a wax 16 is used for sealing. The disc is crimped between the shoulder 15 and the rolled over edge 14 after insertion.
