Abstract

848,577. Windscreen wipers. TRICOFOLBERTH Ltd. Sept. 19, 1958 [Sept. 25, 1957], No. 30127/57. Class 138(1). A windscreen wiper, especially for windscreens curved in side elevation, has a flexible blade 24 carried by two spring-loaded arms 2, 4 extending from a single axis of oscillation 10, one arm applying pressure through a superstructure 16, 20 to the radially outer part, and the other through a superstructure 18, 22, to the radially inner part, of the blade. The connections between the superstructures and the blade are by claws on the yoke engaging round the edges of a flexible backing strip for the blade and at substantially equally spaced points along the blade.
