Abstract

847,925. Cable clips. INSULOID MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Sept. 27, 1957 [Oct. 1; 1956; Dec. 14, 1956], Nos. 29816/56 and 38169/56. Class 36 [Also in Group XXV] A cable clip comprises a tongue part i and a grooved or slotted saddle part m for locating the tongue, both parts having holes or notches for mounting, and being moulded from a plastic material such as nylon. The tongue part may have a bead h formed with a hole for a mounting screw or with notches h <SP>1</SP> for engagement in a slotted metal mounting section o. The tongue itself may be longitudinally slotted and formed with ribs on its upper surface. The saddle m may be formed with a hole m<SP>2</SP> for a mounting screw m<SP>4</SP> and with serrated grooves n which engage with the ribs on the tongue when the parts are placed together and secured to the mounting member o. In an alternative arrangement the tongue may not be slotted and may be formed with transverse ribs of saw-tooth form. A complementary saddle comprises a notched head for engagement in the mounting member o and a transverse slot formed with a saw tooth for engagement with the teeth on the tongue.
