[Also in Group XXXVIII] An electronic signalling system comprises a number of sources each generating a unique frequency, the source being connected to a common amplifiying means by a cable in which the unique frequencies pass to separate indicator means via a filter circuit. As disclosed, transistorized crystal oscillators are used, the power supply for the oscillators being fed down the signal cable. An oscillator at the end of each cable branch is reserved for indicating line failure. The signal from this monitor is also used to derive A.G.C. for the amplifier. The O.P. from the crystal gates used in the filter unit are used to illuminate indicator lamps. The system is disclosed for mine signalling and full details of conventional circuits are given.
