844,005. Removing incrustation. BORG HOLDING A. G. July 11, 1958 [Nov. 23, 1957], No. 22251/58. Class 123(1) [Also in Group XXVIII] In a method of preparing water tubes of steam plant prior to chemical cleaning the tubes are scavenged with steam so as to remove any water or air present therein and are then closed at their outlet whilst maintaining or increasing the steam supply and permitting or causing cooling of the tubes and condensation of the steam until air free water filling of the tubes is achieved. The tubes may be heated during the scavenging operation.
