Class 98(1) The diaphragm setting ring and shutter speed setting ring of the shutter carry control cams for actuating pivoted levers of which one is pivoted on the other and one lever is coupled to a movable part of an exposure meter. As shown in Fig. 2, the diaphragm ring 19a has a control cam 7 on which is spring pressed a lever 4 pivoted at 5 on a lever 2, which is pivoted at 3 and spring urged against a cam 6 carried by the shutter speed setting ring 21a. Lever 4 is connected at 11 to a pin 8 coupled with the movable part of the exposure meter. This pin 8 may, as shown in Fig. 3, engage a lug 113a on a spring loaded sector gear 113 adapted to rotate a disc 117, 118 relatively to the pointer 125 of the meter. This disc has adjustable thereon an annulus 120 carrying a film speed scale 121 which is first set against an index 122 on the disc 117. Thereafter, in order to set the diaphragm-speed ratio appropriate to the light conditions indicated by the meter, the diaphragm ring on the shutter speed ring is adjusted to rotate disc 117, 118 until an index 123 registers with pointer 125. Correctly paired diaphragm and speed values may then be selected by coupled adjustment of rings 19a and 21a.
