Abstract
843,762. Inductors. MULLARD RADIO VALVE CO. Ltd. Aug. 24, 1956 [May 25, 1955], No. 15079/55. Class 38 (2). A row of loading coil mountings 1 of the kind forming the subject matter of Specification 757,284 is housed in a brass tube 21 having its ends sealed by lead caps 20. The whole exterior may be coated with bitumen paint. Bolts 2 hold together the mountings 1 and cable clamps 5, 6 inside the tube. The space left between the tube and the flat sides of the sector-shaped mountings is utilized by the terminals 9 to which the cable ends are fastened, and for the passage of gas where the cable is gas filled. The coil mountings may contain one or three loading coils. The arrangement may be buried or fixed to a pole by a chain and fixing bracket (Fig. 2, not shown).
