Abstract

A veterinary preparation which may take the form of a concentrate or a powder suitable for use in the preparation of an aqueous solution of nitrofurazone stabilized against deterioration from contact with galvanised iron comprises from 3,4 to 10 parts by weight of nitrofurazone, from 0,34 to 1,0 part by weight of sodium or potassium dichromate and a carrier therefor. The aqueous solution may contain from 0,0001 to 0,01% by weight of dichromate and from 0,0035 to 0,011% by weight of nitrofurazone. Carrier materials specified are N-N-dimethylformamide, lactose, and sodium lauryl sulphate.
