842,965. Applying liquid medicaments. MILLIGAN, G. J. Oct. 7, 1958 [Oct. 15, 1957], No. 31986/58. Class 81(2). [Also in Group XXIII] An applicator for the treatment of small defined or hard-to-reach regions with a liquid medicament, particularly a dentin desensitizing or tooth protecting liquid, comprising a length 10 of bendable translucent, capillary tube, preferably formed of polyethylene, and a wick 15 protruding from one end 11 of the tube for conducting the liquid contents 14 of the tube through the protruding end of the wick, the other end 12 of the tube being adapted to be opened before use, e.g. by removing the plug 13 or by snipping off the end 12 if it is seal-welded (not shown), so as to expose the bore of the tube to atmosphere. The wick is preferably protected by a cap 16 and the bore of the tube 10 has a preferred diameter of about 2 mm.
