Abstract

841,315. Waveguide devices. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO. Ltd. Sept. 18, 1956 [Sept. 20, 1955], No. 26883/55. Class 40(8). [Also in Group XL(a)] A dielectric-filled slot window for the transmission of electrical energy is incorporated in a T.B. or T.R. device. In a T.R. device, Fig. 1, a waveguide 3 of circular crosssection incorporates irises 5, 5<SP>1</SP> and discharge gaps 4, 4<SP>1</SP> and is sealed at one end by a transverse wall 2 containing a dielectric-filled slot and at the other by wall 9 having a similar slot. T.B. device, Fig. 6 (not shown), is also described.
