Abstract

Bis-amidoximes are prepared by reacting a dicarboxylic acid dinitrile with hydroxyamine hydrochloride in an alcohol or aqueous alcohol solution in the presence of a solution of an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal hydroxide. Examples describe the preparation of succinic and adipic acid-bis-amidoximes.
