An antiseptic pad for a telephone mouthpiece comprises a flexible backing 1 of paper, felt or plastic and a plastic sac 2 containing a volatile antiseptic liquid. Absorbent felt 4 covers the sac. The pad is shaped, as shown, to fit a telephone mouthpiece. The disinfectant is released by puncturing the sac at points 5. The backing 1 may be coated with adhesive.
