Abstract

839,458. Blankets. SCHANDA, M. June 13, 1957 [June 20, 1956], No. 19082/56. Class 142(4 [Also in Group VII] A rectangular blanket 13 convertible into a coat 14 is provided with a central longitudinal slot 5 extending from the end a and two transverse slots 8 extending inwardly from the sides of the blanket. The slots 5, 8 have divisible fasteners along their edges, and halves of divisible fasteners are provided along the end a. To form the coat, the outer end fasteners 1, 4 are connected' to the fasteners 9, 11 respectively, then the parts of the blanket beyond the slots 8 ar folded inwardly as in Fig. 3, and the fasteners 2, 10; 3, 12 connected together. The slot 5 forms a neck opening, and zip fasteners &c. may be provided for closing the front of the coat. The coat may be reversible and provided with a collar or a hood and with pockets also closable by fasteners. The fasteners 1-4 and 9-12 may be zip fasteners, buttons, press studs, hooks &c.
