Abstract
An iron alloy, particularly for electric heating elements consists of Cr 10-40%, Al 1-9%, Fe 51-88.9%, Ta with or without Ti 0.1-5%, the Ta when present with Ti being not less than 0.05%, Ce with or without Ca 0.01-1%, the Ce when present with Ca being not less than 0.005%. The alloy may also contain one or more of the following elements, Co up to 5%, Zr 0.01-1%, Mn up to 2%, Si up to 2%, C up to 0.5%, Nb up to 2%, Mo up to 1.5%, Th up to 0.2%. Specification 727,174 is referred to.
