832,902. Cables. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Aug. 15, 1958, No. 26299/58. Class 36. An electrostatic screen surrounding a cable core comprises paper covered on both sides with a metallic layer. The paper is in the form of strip 6 which has metal foils 7, 8 attached to both surfaces (Fig. 3) or strip 9 which has a metal foil 10 attached to one surface only (Fig. 4), the strip then being folded as shown. The metallised strip is lapped on to the core dielectric 1.
