Abstract
4 - Octadecylamino - 3 - aminobenzene sulphonic acid is made by treating the sodium salt of 2 - nitro - 1 - chlorobenzene - 4 - sulphonic acid with stearylamine in presence of sodium bicarbonate and reducing the product with stannous chloride. 3 - Amino - 4 - octadecylamino - benzoic acid is made analogously starting from 4-chloro-3-nitro-benzoic acid as also may be made the corresponding dodecylamino derivative.
