Abstract
An injectable solution of meprobamate in 1,3-butanediol comprises 1 to 9% (preferably 2 to 8%) by weight based on the total weight of solution of meprobamate (2-methyl-2-n-propyl-1,3-propanediol dicarbamate) in 1,3-butanediol. The composition may be in unit dosage form, for example an ampoule containing 240 mg. of meprobamate in 3 ml. of solution.
