Abstract

829,703. Nozzles. FLORIN, G. H. Feb. 7, 1958 (Feb. 12, 1957], No. 4701/57. Class 69 (3). A flexible body 11, e.g. of rubber, has a liquid inlet 12 to receive the mouth of a tap, and spherical cavity 13 which frictionally receives the hollow spherical end of a less flexible nozzle 16. A circumferential groove 19 in the body reduces leakage and a ring 22 secures the nozzle. The nozzle and/or body may have means to diffuse and constrain passing liquid to a non-turbulent path and/or prevent the passage of large solids, and in the Figure radial ribs 21 with passages therebetween are provided in the body for that purpose.
