Abstract
827,400. Ornaments. AMERY Ltd., A. March 14, 1958 [March 18, 1957], No. 8804/57. Class 93 A decoration comprises two or more strips of metal foil, paperboard or the like each in the form of a spiral of progressively increasing diameter and each attached to the other or to one another at about their points of smallest diameter, the spirals being substantially co-axial and the turns of each lying edgewise in relation to and along and around their axes of generation and also lying between and in spaced relation to the turns of the other spiral or spirals, said strips being flexible so that the decoration can be collapsed into a substantially flat form, the whole being suspended from about its centre. The strips, if not of metal foil, may be coated with metal foil or otherwise metallized. The spirals may be of differing flexibility and be joined together at their ends (Fig. 1), or be of similar flexibility but starting in opposite directions (Fig. 3).
