Class 52(5) A clothes rack comprises a rectangular frame the longitudinal members 2, 3 of which are provided each with a row of apertures (not shown) each receiving a spring-loaded clothes peg, the frame being adapted to be suspended against a wall by chains 8 and being divided longitudinally into two sections 12, 13 so connected by struts 14 that they can be co-planar as shown, or at right angles so that section 12 is vertical against the wall, or folded together in such a way that frame members 2, 3 are at different ends of the folded rack. As shown, sections 12, 13 are pivoted to the struts by dowels 15, 16 respectively which also act as clothes supporting bars. The sections are locked in co-planar position by captive dowels 23 taking into bores in blocks 21, 22 fixed to sections 12, 13. Buffers 25 protect the wall. Stops 20 prevent downward pivoted movement of section 13 about strut 14 when the sections are in the right angled position.
