Class 52(4) A spring assembly for a motor vehicle upholstered seat has upper and lower marginal wire frames A, B, between which are upholstery springs E, connected at their edges by stiffening members C of sinuously bent wires secured to the frames by clips D. Springs E have their lower ends secured to cross members of frame B and their upper ends engaging in wire web F secured to frame A.
