Abstract

826,699. Spray-producers. FOERSTNER, W., [trading as TOTAL KOMMANDIT-GESELLSCHAFT FOERSTNER & CO.]. Feb. 25, 1957 [Feb. 25, 1956], No. 6324/57. Class 69 (3). The flow of water from a nozzle at the end of a jet pipe 1 is controlled by a needle 5 with a pear-shaped end which is moved axially by a spring- loaded pivoted trigger 8 and a linkage 10, 11. Spring blades 14, 15, Figs. 1 and 3, project into the water stream on the outlet side of the nozzle and are vibrated by the water pressure to produce a spray; the blades are mounted so as to be movable vertically into and away from the stream to vary the spray effect. The blades 14, 15 are attached by pieces 35, 36 to carriers 18, 19 which are guided vertically in grooves 16, 17 and the ends of the carriers comprise circular studs 20, 21 engaged by the forked ends of two pairs of bell-crank levers 24, 25. The latter pivot about pins 27, 28, and pins 31, 32 on the upper levers 24 are engaged by the forked ends of the levers 25 and by the forked ends of two arms 33, 34, projecting from a spring-loaded pivoted trigger 26. Operation of the trigger 26 causes the outward movement of the carriers 18, 19 and blades 14, 15. Instead of blades, steel wires may be used.
