Abstract

822,164. Hydraulic actuators. ELECTROL Inc. April 20, 1956, No. 12161/56. Class 69 (2). An electro-hydraulic power unit comprises an electric motor 12 driving a gear pump 13 supplying liquid through an electromagnetically controlled reversing valve to an hydraulic jack 18. The pump is mounted in a reservoir 17, and the reversing valve (not shown) is housed in a plate 41 forming an end wall of the reservoir and of the jack cylinder. A diaphragm-type hydraulic accumulator 15 is secured to the plate 41 and communicates with the pump discharge line upstream of the reversing valve. A limit switch 29 is actuated by the jack piston head and by a dog 65<SP>1</SP> at the ends of the stroke of the piston so that the electric motor and the pump are stopped.
