Abstract

819,002. Contact-members for switches; switches held set and freed mechanically. HESKETH, J. B. FERMOR-, and GILBERT, T. J. Feb. 19, 1958 [March 15, 1957], No. 8630/57. Class 38 (5). A contact element for use in a switch such as that described in Specification 656,104 comprises a metal block 1 having a cylindrical channel 3 in which is seated a part-spherical abutment 4 of a metal strip 2. A pin 5 secured in the block 1 passes through a slot in the strip 2 and carries a spring 8 to maintain the strip 2 rockably seated on block 1. Block 1 has holes 10 for securing it to a movable frame whereby strip 2 may be brought into and out of contact with a fixed block 11.
