Abstract
817,964. Fluid pressure motors. WEATHER ILL, F. Oct. 23, 1957 [July 23, 1956], No. 22732/56. Class 110 (2). A fluid pressure motor of the oscillating vane type comprises a cylindrical housing 4 having an abutment 9 and closed at one end by a hub plate 5, which forms a bearing for a fixed shaft 1. Also mounted on the shaft 1 is a face plate 6 having a projecting sleeve which carries a vane 11. A bearing bush such as 8 may be positioned between either unit and the shaft. The member 5 or 6 may be fixed so that relative movement of the free member will occur when fluid is admitted through the ports 13 or 14. Packing pieces 10, 12, 18, 19 and 20 prevent escape of the working fluid. A thrust bearing 3 is provided between the face plate 6 and a flange 2 on the shaft 1. More than one pair of abutments and fluid ports may be provided.
