Abstract
The invention comprises 5 - nitro - 2 - furaldehyde hydrazone, and the preparation thereof by reacting 5-nitro-2-furaldehyde, optionally in the form of a functional derivative, with hydrazine. In examples, hydrazine hydrate is reacted with 5-nitro-2-furaldehyde or its diacetate. The compound of the invention is useful as a veterinary remedy.
