Abstract
816,738. Boxes for couplings. BLACKWELL & CO. Ltd., F. C., and GRIFFIN, A. Oct. 18, 1957 [July 24, 1956], No. 22874/56. Class 38 (1). [Also in Group XXXVII] A wall box for a switch or the like has slots 6 in its sides to allow bracket lugs 7 to project laterally when inserted from the interior of box and engage behind the edges of an aperture in wall 16. Extensions 12 on the ends of lugs 7 pass through further slots 5 in the base of the box and, together with cut-away portions 13, enable the lugs to be locked in position by sideways displacement. A part of each slot 6 is formed by pressing out a lug 14. Lugs 14 are provided with threaded holes 15 to receive cover-securing screws which may extend beyond the underside of lugs 14 to hold lugs 7 against inwards movement.
