The housing 4 of a retractive spring 3 of a rotary switch has lugs 5 which may be arranged in any opposite pair of a number of holes in an end-plate 7, so as to adjust the initial tension of the spring. The spring is attached at one end to the shaft 1 and at the other to the housing 4.
