812,502. Hinges. S. A. F. F. A. SOC. P. A. FABBRICHE FIAMMIFERI ED AFFINI. March 8, 1957, No. 7785/57. Class 65(2) A furniture or like hinge comprises a substantially T-shaped member 6 having a tail secured in a seat in the furniture part 28 and provided with a through hole 17 in a portion thereof to receive the shank of a fixing screw 18, and a head formed as a sleeve 7 which fits between lugs on a base member 1 and is pivoted thereto by a removable metal pin 21. The tail has a cylindrical end 9 containing the hole 17 and two intermediate portions 10, 11, of substantially semicircular cross-section. The base member has a rim 19 and projections 23 formed on its undersurface to ensure accurate fixing to a frame by screws 15. Both members may be made of plastics material or of a metal alloy having low friction properties.
