Abstract
812,406. Photographic and kinematographic cameras. KEEBLE, R. H. W. Feb. 3, 1956 [Feb 3, 1955], No. 3162/55. Classes 97(1) and 98(1) A panoramic camera comprises a lens system in a housing rotatable about the optical system of the lens, a curved film support substantially in the focal plane of the lens and an apertured light shield rotatable about the lens housing and film support to admit light as the lens scans the film. In the form shown the objective 7 is mounted in a housing 8 with apertures 8a, 8b, through which light passes to the film supported on a guide 17 curved about the axis of rotation. A shield member 10, with a single aperture 10a is carried by a bearing 11 outside the film guide and is rotated by gearing 12a, 12b, 13, 14 at the same speed as the housing 8 and prevents entry of light during film shift. Means for adjusting the diaphragm 15 is contained in the tube 16. Means may be provided for limiting the rotation of lens housing and light shield to a single rotation for single exposures.
