810,981. Garages. CARR, G. W. Oct. 16, 1956 [July 16, 1955], No. 20662/55. Class 20(1) A garage consisting of a tower 1, Figs. 1 and 6, incorporates a helical strip 2 surrounding a central lift shaft 3 and providing a track or road 4 having parking bays 5 at its boundaries, the strip being supported by pillars 14 at its outer marginal edge and also at the track edges, where the pillars define entrances to the parking bays or pairs of parking bays. A barrier or fence 15 is provided on the outer edge of the strip. In Fig. 7 there are two helical tracks 7 and 8, one way traffic circulation being effected by interconnection between them through selected parking bays 9 and 11. Offices 17 are provided in the garage base.
