810,892. Thermocouples. BATAAFSCHE PETROLEUM MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. DE. Feb. 4, 1957 [Feb. 6, 1956], No. 3796/57. Class 37. [Also in Group XXXVIII] Apparatus for measuring heat now comprises a conductor 10 consisting of a tube 11 with longitudinally spaced openings 22, 23 in which are located wires 20, 21 of a metal different from that of the conductor 10 to form thermocouples with the tube 11. The potential difference between the wires 20, 21 is indicative of the heat flow along the tube 11. The conductor 10 may be copper and the wires 20, 21 constantan.
