Abstract

809,790. Extruding machines. BUZULUK KOMAROV, NARODNI PODNIK, and NOVAK, V. Sept. 30, 1955 [Oct. 25, 1954], No. 2<SP>7</SP>860/55. Class 87(2). [Also in Group II] The impeller consists of an outer rotating screw 1 having threads on its exterior and interior, and an inner rotating screw 2 having threads on its exterior. The exterior threads 1a on screw 1 are right-hand, its interior threads lb are left-hand, and the threads on screw 2 are right-hand. (Or the threads may be left, right, left rsepectively). Plastic material fed into cylinder 3 through hopper 6 is fed leftward by threads la to the point a, where ramps on screw 1 deflect it to threads lb. Threads lb then feed the material rightward to point b, where ramps on a hub portion 8 deflect it to screw 2. The two screws may be rigidly connected together by the hub 8 ; or each screw may be independently driven, in which case the hilt is replaced by a bearing.
