807,657. Castors. FLEXELLO CASTORS & WHEELS Ltd. and WAPSHOTT, S. E. April 17, 1957 [July 27, 1956], No. 23333/56. Class 52(1) frames. In a device for simultaneously locking a castor against rotation and swivelling a vertically slidable plunger 1 is moved downwardly to bring a serrated plate 4 into engagement with the teeth of a serrated ring 5 on the fixed part of the castor mounting while the toothed end 11 of the plunger engages a notch 12 of a notched circular plate 13 carried by the castor bowl. As shown the plunger is held in inoperative position by a ball catch 10 but in a modification the plunger may be cam-operated.
