806,022. Hook fastenings. BRUNTON, J. H., and HAMER. B. Jan. 25, 1957 [Feb. 16, 1956], No. 4812/56. Class 44 Means for suspending members from girders comprises a box-like bracket having a vertical wall 4 housing an adjustable or detachable member 9 and an opposing vertical wall 6 furnished with an inwardly cranked portion 7, whereby the bracket may be laterally introduced to the bottom flange of a girder 1 with the cranked portion 7 and the adjustable member 9 resting upon the upper sides of the flange at each side of the web of the girder; the bracket being also adapted to carry ceiling or other suitable supporting means. As shown, the member 9 may be a thumbscrew, Fig. 1, which is retractable to allow the bracket to be introduced over the flange of the girder or a Z-shaped peg, Fig. 3, which is introduced through a slot in the wall 4 of the bracket. The bracket supports a ceiling member 15 on bolts 10.
