Abstract
805,334. Typewriters &c. WILKES, J. Dec. 10, 1956 [Dec. 8, 1955], No. 35230/55. Class 100(4) A pin wheel stationery feed for a typewriter has a guide with side cheeks rotatably mounted in relation to the pin wheel spindle, the guides being so shaped that the stationery is lowered into engagement with, and lifted out of engagement with, the pins of the pin wheels during feeding. The guide 3, Fig. 2, has side plates 4 which engage sleeve 5, Fig. 4, and is rotatable about, and slidable along a cross-rod 6, Fig. 2. Blade 10, slidably mounted on the crossrod 11, holds the stationery on the guide plate. The rod 11 is pivotally mounted in the side frames. The pin wheel 1 is adjustable for different paper widths, catdh 13, Fig. 4, engaging appropriate groove 14 in spindle 2, fine adjustment being effected by a sleeve 15 co-operating with a fixed collar 12. Collars 5 and 12 are held against rotation by pins engaging a longitudinal groove in the shaft 2.
