803,808. Kinematograph apparatus. SCHAEFER, K., and SCHAEFER, H. Dec. 20, 1956 [Dec. 24, 1955], No. 38866/56. Class 97(1) A substantially flat wall carries means for rotatably supporting feed and take-up spools, a first film guide member projecting from the wall and having a width corresponding to the film width for supporting the film passing between the spools and second and third guide members which have a width which is a fraction of that of the first guide member and guide the film between the film spools and the first guide member. In the form shown, spools 1 are carried on pins 1<SP>1</SP> projecting from the wall 10. A guiding member 3, perpendicular to the wall, has a flange 5 spaced from the wall by the film width. Arcuate film guiding members 4 are attached to or formed integrally with the wall 10 are tapered in thickness towards their centres. During threading, the film is pressed sideways and outwards over the members 4, its resilience permitting it to deform sufficiently to move to the position shown. The film is held in exposure or projection position by a pressure plate 6, carried on a door 8 hinged at 9, which is brought into operative position by closing the door.
