803,492. Cow-milkers. ALFA-LAVAL CO., Ltd. June 28, 1957 [March 29, 1956], No. 9789/56. Class 84. A cow-milking installation comprises an overhead track 1 in front of each row of milking stations and a frame 5 carrying an arm 9 hinged thereto so as to move from the horizontal position shown to a raised position against the frame, the arm in its operative position reaching to the side of the cow and carrying the teat cup cluster 24. Weighing means 13 allows the yield of each cow to be measured. A vacuum pipe 19 extends along the runway and is connected to the teat cups via a pulsator 21. If desired the arm 9 can be tubular and form a vacuum pipe. A weight 11 balances the arm.
