Abstract

801,455. Automatic voltage control systems. TELETYPE CORPORATION. Aug. 31, 1956 [Oct. 27, 1955], No. 26683/56. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XL (c)] The output from a transistor oscillator is maintained constant by rectifying an output from the collector of a transistor in the oscillator and controlling the impedance of a diode circuit connected in shunt with the input of the transistor in accordance with the rectified output. The Figure shows an oscillator comprising transistors 10 and 15 having a positive feedback circuit comprising crystal 18. The output of the oscillator is amplified in a transistor 28 and part of the resulting oscillation is rectified at 36 and applied to a germanium varistor 42 in shunt with the emitter of transistor 10. The amplitude of the oscillation output may be controlled by a resistor 23.
