Abstract

Aluminium strip, before being electroplated with, e.g. copper (see Group XXXVI) is abraded on one surface by a pair of rotating brushes and simultaneously given a zinc coating by dripping an aqueous solution of sodium zincate on to the brushes. The solution may comprise 100 gms. per litre zinc oxide and 500 gms. per litre sodium hydroxide.
