Abstract

799,268. Angular bending. KOCKS GES., F. June 29, 1956 [Aug. 8, 1955], No. 20254/56. Class 83 (4). The machine for bending metal strip between oscillating jaws having a decreasing pass into the form of a longitudinally slotted tube, the jaws also serving to feed the strip, described in Specification 799,267, to which reference is made, is modified in that the pass 13 is curved in the plane of oscillation of the jaws, the operative surface of the inner jaw 10 being convex in this plane and of the outer jaw 11 concave in this plane. The strip is thus stretched over its entire width during bending so that the slotted tube leaves the jaws in a straight condition.
